Demystifying digital for Gen Z

We couldn't help but take an interest in Gen Z, the true digital natives of our century. It must be said that they represent 30% of the global population according to Le Monde and 80% of us in the office...🙄

Putting an end to the clichés

Speaking from experience, we wanted to deconstruct some of the preconceived notions about this generation raised on 1995, Gossip Girl, Call of Duty, and above all… the smartphone.
Yes, 72% of them feel they couldn't go more than a day without their phone. And yes, Instagram has become a reflex for communication.📱

But Gen Z craves depth!

Podcasts: a response to the need for meaning

This is what the Culture Next 2023 report from Spotify on Gen Z streaming trends reveals 🎧
Nearly 3 out of 4 young people in France agree that podcasts allow them to explore any subject in depth.
And since 78% of them rarely or never watch live TV (source: Datamind) 📺, they need other formats to stay informed.

A generation looking for a breather

Contrary to popular belief, some sociologists argue that Gen Z is looking to take a break and step away from the digital world they grew up with 🌬️
The lockdown may have triggered this realization, explains Elisabeth Soulié on Radio France 📰

Back to basics: "dumb phones" and the need to disconnect

Today, at a time when everyone is equipped with the latest smartphone, Gen Z is returning to flip phones, Nokias, and “dumb phones 📵
A return to basics, driven by the Y2K trend, but also by a deeper desire for “physicality”.
They want to take a break from the digital world, reconnect with their surroundings, and prioritize their mental health by stepping away from the harmful effects of social media.
