Every year brings its share of changes to the marketing world. As 2024 draws to a close, it is time to look ahead at the trends to watch to shape your 2025 marketing strategy.

1️⃣ The evolution of search engines

The search marketing aimed at optimizing a website's visibility on search engines, through SEO and SEA, needs to adapt to market changes to remain relevant. To do this, you must take into account:

- The integration of artificial intelligence into search engines : Tools like Bard (Google) or ChatGPT (OpenAI) are making search increasingly conversational. Searches are no longer limited to simple keywords.👉 In practice, prioritize creating AI-ready content : information in the form of FAQs or short paragraphs that are easy for conversational AI models to understand and utilize.
- Multimodal search : Search is no longer limited to text. Users are exploring new ways to search, such as voice search, image analysis, or video. Platforms like TikTok and Pinterest are becoming true search engines for certain audiences. 👉 In practice, invest in optimized visual content : short, engaging videos that address search intent. Use tools like subtitles to maximize their impact. We also recommend that you adapt your strategy to each platform.

2️⃣ Authenticity is redefining influence

Authenticity has become essential, especially for the younger generations. As trust in traditional influencers wanes—61% of young people say they no longer trust their favorite influencers (YPulse study)—brands are seeking more sincere connections with their audience.

This is how micro-influencers stand out. With smaller, highly engaged communities (between 1,000 and 100,000 followers), these creators bring a sense of closeness often missing from major influencer figures.

👉Authenticity is strengthened by their content, which is often less scripted and resonates more deeply with their audience.

👉 Although their reach is narrower, they generally benefit from higher engagement rates than those of more famous influencers.

Still not convinced? Give it a try—the risk is low, and their affordability lets you reach different segments without breaking the bank. 😉

3️⃣ The rise of attention marketing

In 2024, 31% of people feel that social media ads capture their attention, compared to 43% in 2023, according to Kantar Media Reactions 2024.

This decline isn't all that surprising, given our constant exposure to up to 10,000 ads per day ! As a result, we now barely notice 35 to 50% of the ads we are exposed to.

This phenomenon is accompanied by major shifts, such as the end of cookies and the growing awareness of the environmental impact of digital advertising that have highlighted the need to do less, but better.

👉 For 2025, it is becoming essential to measure the attention generated by your ads. While doing so precisely remains complex, methods such as eye-tracking or physiological observations allow for the quantification of attention, a key element for establishing an accurate visibility score and optimizing your ads across all platforms.
